Samuh Yagnopavit – A Sacred Cultural Celebration
The sacred ritual of Samuh Yagnopavit Sanskar was celebrated with devotion and community spirit on 2nd February 2025, organized by Shree Kalyan Lohana Mahajan in association with the Lohana Samaj Trust – Kokan Vibhag. The event served as a glorious platform to uphold and revive the age-old Upanayan Sanskar tradition within the Lohana community.
The Sacred Upanayan Sanskar
A total of 24 young Lohana boys took part in the Yagnopavit Sanskar, embracing the sacred thread and stepping into the path of knowledge and dharma. Guided by experienced priests, the rituals were performed in accordance with Vedic traditions, surrounded by family members, community elders, and spiritual leaders.

Ceremonial Opening: Deep Prajvalan
The event commenced with a Deep Prajvalan (prayer lighting ceremony), symbolizing the divine presence and spiritual beginning of the auspicious day. The ceremonial lamp was lit by:

- Shri Dharmendrabhai Karia – President, Maharashtra Zone
- Shri Abhaybhai Tanna – President, Kokan Vibhag
- Shri Birenbhai Thakkar – President, Shree Kalyan Lohana Mahajan
- Shri Kishorbhai Sodha – President, Shree Kalyan Lohana Mahajan Trust
- Shri Jagdishbhai Khimani – Secretary, Shree Kalyan Lohana Mahajan
This marked a graceful and divine start to the day, invoking blessings for a successful and spiritually enriching ceremony.

The event saw an enthusiastic turnout of over 700 Lohana guests, reflecting the strength, unity, and cultural pride of the community. The spiritual rituals were followed by a grand Prasadi Bhojan (community lunch), fostering a sense of togetherness and celebration among all attendees.
Honoring the Young Initiates
To commemorate this important milestone, all 24 young boys were honoured with gifts, presented as blessings and encouragement for their journey ahead.
